May 8, 2008 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Israel.

Please pray for wisdom for her government leaders as they face threats from surrounding countries. Please pray for the Messianic believers living and working in a secular society.

Please pray for Messiahs Gifts as we provide resources to understand and celebrate our Jewish roots, Judaic gifts, and information on the beliefs of Islam.

Please pray for God's strength, wisdom, leadership, growth, unity and protection for the approximately 500 Messianic congregations in the world today, 160 of which are in Israel. MORE

Please pray for guidance and protection for Christian workers in Islamic countries. They are being detained at airports, receiving demands to close down their ministries, having spouses and children harassed, etc.

However, praise God that over 2,000 people per month are putting their faith and trust in Christ through evangelistic websites in the Middle East. Pray for the staffs of the Christian organizations which maintain these websites and do follow up with these precious new believers. Check out Islam: A Threat or a Challenge in the Book Section.

You and many other Christians may be going through difficult times. However, we can look to Jesus on the cross, in great anguish. Out of the seven last phrases he uttered before dying, 3 of them demonstrated his great compassion for others: Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. Today you will be with me in paradise. Woman, behold your son; to the disciple, behold your mother (and take care of her).

THAT EXAMPLE OF COMPASSION IS OUR GUIDE. SO...

DON'T WITHHOLD YOUR WORSHIP OF JESUS!

DON'T STOP CHEERING FOR JESUS!
